Over the past few weeks, we’ve been making some major changes here at the studio. And we’re now ready to reveal our biggest change yet: a name change! Starting now, we are the Laura U Design Collective. Our firm has always embraced the evolution of our industry, and as such, we are evolving ourselves. Because now, we offer much more than interior design.
Residential Building Design
We began the year with the addition of our newest team member, Gina Brown. As Director of Residential Building Design, the endlessly talented Gina heads up a small team devoted to new construction and renovation/remodel design. With her leadership, we are one of the few firms to offer a truly “wholistic” experience that guides our clients through every aspect of designing their home.
What Does “Wholistic” Mean?
As a “wholistic” firm, we design the whole home. Our team offers ground-up planning, full-service interior design, and landscape consultation to ensure your entire home adheres to one, unified concept. For our clients, this means your design vision remains a constant, guiding force throughout the process.
We’re your advocate from start to finish, helping to facilitate the contractor interview and bidding process and advising you on the best collaborators for your needs and your budget. When it is time to build, we regularly conduct site evaluations and monitor for quality control. This ensures a seamless transition between pre-construction design, build out, and interior furnishings installation.

Working as a Collective
We say that we do everything for the love of home. That belief is central to everything we create. As a collective, we explore creative environments that support how our clients love to live. Laura, our founder, discovered her passion for design because she never wanted to be without something she enjoyed. This is how we hope our clients feel about their new homes. No matter your personal style, your home should be bold, beloved, and a perfect reflection of what you care about most.
