From a young age, I knew I wanted to be an interior designer. Growing up, I spent my time organizing and rearranging the objects in our home. And though I didn’t know it at the time, this exercise taught me how to be intentional and purposeful in my designs.
As I completed my formal education and focused on high-end interior projects, I began to understand the art and science behind interior design. I saw how important it was to intentionally create spaces that were both functional and visually stunning, but more importantly, I understood that each space has a story to tell.
The objects we collect, the photographs lining our walls, and our furnishings arranged just so create the backdrop to the memories we make. What we choose to bring into our home tells our individual story. Each piece represents where we’ve been and shows where we’re going. Whether it’s a love of entertaining, traveling, collecting art or raising a family, each client has a unique story to tell.
Laura U is grounded in the philosophy that your home tells your family’s story. By thoughtfully balancing observation, visualization, and curation, my team and I create singular interiors for our clients worldwide. Through understanding the clients’ own values and what brings them personal joy, we uncover the story our client’s want to tell and weave it throughout each space in their home.
