A huge goal for our #HedwigVillage renovation and addition project was to improve the indoor and outdoor relationship of the home. In the breakfast nook, we installed a mammoth arched window that not only invites natural light to shine but allows family members to enjoy a view of the beautiful new courtyard we designed. From the oak beams to the @lacanche.officiel range, we are head over heels in love with the details in our #hedwigvillage kitchen.

Our residential building design team collaborated closely with this project's interior designer - @mollysolichdesign - to craft a kitchen that transports you to the French countryside even when you're feet are on the ground in Houston. Now that’s bien vivre. 🌿

We love how the oak beams create give warmth, texture, and dimension to this provincial countryside kitchen. ✨

Few spaces in #HedwigVillage received as much attention as the kitchen. Originally, this space was cramped and unfunctional for a family of five [swipe to see the before]. For the redesigned layout, we increased the square footage, expanded the case opening, and popped the ceiling for height. We also designed a custom oak island to offer plenty of space for entertaining. 🌿🍅

When designing kitchens for families, we always strive to hit the sweet spot between beauty and functionality 🍭

For this young family, we integrated many amazing features to help keep their active lives running smoothly:
- Refrigerator drawers for kid-friendly drinks and snacks
- A mixer lift for the baking station
- Outlets under the Island for charging phones and tablets
- Discreet under the cabinet paper towel holder
- Day pantry to tuck away appliances and servingware
- Dog bowl station for their fur family member
- Integrated fridge and freezer into the millwork
