April Team Obsessions

April flew by thanks to the craziness of finishing the BLVD Show House. It’s hard to believe after all this time the house is done and we can finally move in next week … just in time for May! And let me say, we’re so ready to kick-off the summer in our new home.

This month the team was captivated by pieces made with luxurious materials. From handmade brass lighting fixtures to parchment chairs and semi-precious stone edged scones, these pieces highlight how you can use traditional materials in very unexpected ways.

Let’s dive into some of the team’s favorite pieces, shall we?

Laura U Interior Design April 2018 team obsessions

 Jonathan Browning

“I’m obsessed with the new lighting collection from Jonathan Browning! I love the pyramid shapes in this linear chandelier and the simplicity of this brass flush mount fixture. The geometric shapes are perfect for creating contrast in a space.”

– Leticia Haywood, Principal Designer

Jallu Ebenistes

“I’m currently obsessed with Jallu Ebenistes’ furniture pieces. I love that every item is made of materials intricately pieced together, but the final products appear beautifully tailored and elegant. And can you believe the chair is made of parchment – it’s gorgeous!”

– Lexi Fink, Design Assistant

 Apparatus Studio

“I love this Talisman loop sconce from Apparatus Studio. The scone is wrapped in leather and has semi-precious stones of jade, agate or jasper on the outside. It has a very natural, but exotic feel.”

– Shannon Smith, Senior Interior Designer

This month’s obsessions show how details truly make the design. As we get ready to jump into May, I hope these pieces have you feeling inspired and ready to get to work on your design project.
